Welcome to DLAB! My name is Ms.Velasquez, and I am an upper grade teacher for Baldwin Park Unified School District's Independent Study Program. Another exciting school year has arrived, and I am pleased to state that we will continue to offer this learning option for students and families. The DLAB Program is a great choice for any student that wants or needs a flexible schedule and is prepared to complete required coursework at his or her own pace. Work on your Daily Steps and meet your Weekly Goals with success and accelerate to your greatest potential. This is your opportunity to be in control!

As the DLAB Lead Teacher, it is my priority to ensure that the program functions efficiently. I will make certain that we maintain open and meaningful communication between student, parent, and teacher. Your child's success depends on the ongoing guidance and support I/we provide and on the necessary attention you offer at home, as students work on achieving individual goals. All learners have access to accelerate academically, demonstrate independence, and to take ownership. Let's do this!
